Lois Ann Boyd Yost

Lois Boyd Yost, 96, of Beaumont died November 10, 2007 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital. A native of Knox County, Lois and her parents had lived in Plainview, Tulia and Brownwood before moving to Beaumont. She attended Junker School and graduated from Beaumont High in 1929.

A licensed Funeral Director, she and her husband Marion worked with a number of area funeral homes. While working in Port Arthur, she was office manager for Clayton Thompson on Proctor Street.

Survivors include her cousins, Virginia Discher and Travis Keese of Kerrville and Van Keese of Wimberly; and her extended family that called her Aunt Lois.

She cherished the friendship of her Sun Meadow neighbors, who made it possible for her to maintain her independence.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive followed by burial at Magnolia Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, November 13, 2007 at the mortuary.
