Rodgers wed Popejoy at Presbyterian Church

Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas W. D. Popejoy
Carrie Leann Rodgers and Nicholas W. D. Popejoy of Jasper were wed Oct. 6 at First Presbyterian Church in Jasper.

The bride is the daughter of Larry and Carol Rodgers of Woodville. She is the granddaughter of Ted and Bobbie Jacks of Pineland and the late Floyd and Alma Rodgers, and the late Bonnie Simmons.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Lee T. Popejoy II of Jasper and the late Edith Griggs Popejoy. He is the grandson of Lee T. Popejoy and Vivienne F. Popejoy of Jasper and the late John and Ocie Griggs.

Annie Marie Mullins of Orange was the matron of honor. Christina Reho of Beaumont, Melinda Matthews of Jasper, and Lindsey Watson of Nacogdoches were the bride's attendants.

Stirling Popejoy of Killeen was the best man. Blake Daniels of Conroe, Paul Brookshire of Allen and Tre Smith of Oakwood were the groomsmen.

The bride wore a white A-line strapless gown with intricate bead work of pearls and sequins. Her attendants wore strapless navy tea length dresses.

The wedding decorations were white roses, Casa lillies, and blue hydrangeas.

Musical selections were an assortment of classical love songs performed by pianist Danny Platt.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Lee T. Popejoy in Jasper. The couple will make their home in Jasper.
