JISD shows clean audit

For the third year in a row, Jasper Independent School District received a clean audit as reported to the Board of Trustees as their regular November meeting.

The board approved the report as presented by J.W. Kirkham, of Hereford, Lynch, Sellars and Kirkham. Kirkham said there were no deficiencies or findings.

The board also approved participation in an Interlocal Agreement with the Texas Association of School Boards to continue offering a group term life insurance program.

At the conclusion of Board actions, Human Resources Director Chris Coleman presented the Highly Qualified Teacher report.
