Band posts winners in All-region
      Jasper High School band students competed in Orangefield Nov. 17 for the All-Region band; of 21 students from JHS, 15 secured a spot in the band and seven placed high enough to advance to Area Band Auditions in January.

Avant selected as state finalist
      Rachel Avant, a student of Jasper, was selected as a State Finalist and participated in the Pre-Teen Texas Scholarship and Recognition Program, held June 15 - 17 in Houston. She was recognized as Senior Division Speech Winner and a Semifinalist.

Under the sea
      ROWE'S ABOVE AND BEYOND students went to Galveston on a field trip Nov. 8.The students learned about dolphins, sharks, and various other marine animals. Students toured a museum and engaged in a scavenger hunt.
