Band posts winners in All-region

Jasper High School band students competed in Orangefield Nov. 17 for the All-Region band; of 21 students from JHS, 15 secured a spot in the band and seven placed high enough to advance to Area Band Auditions in January.

The following students will play in the All-Region Band:

Flute, Kenzie Lacy, Ashlyne Balusek and Holly Dougharty; clarinet, Andrew Kier and Tyler Bryan; alto saxophone, Kendric Garmon and Trey Faircloth; baritone saxophone, Amanda Branch; trumpet, Justin Martindale, Nathan Knouft and Holly Corbell; French horn, Ruth Henderson; trombone, Brian Cheever and Edgardo Gonzalez; euphonium, Wallace Glenn.

The seven who will advance to Area Brand auditions Jan. 5 are Lacy, Branch, Martindale, Henderson, Cheever, Gonzalez and Glenn.
