Christmas in the Park

The Kirbyville Heritage Society will hold Christmas in the Park Nov. 24 at Magnolia Park. For booth information contact Don Gilbert at 423-1599. Instead of a parade, the day will start with the little Miss and Mr. Candy Cane Pageant. Attire is Christmas wear for ages 0 and up. Marines for Tots

Reagan Clotiaux, the local Edward Jones financial advisor, is supporting the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots drive by using his office as a drop off location, 805 S. Wheeler, beginning Nov. 26 during business hours.

Few Primary Parent Night will be Nov. 29 in the cafeteria/ gym from 5:30 - 7 p.m.

College fair

Jasper High School will host its annual College Fair Dec. 5 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in the shell gym. More than 40 colleges will send recruiters to answer questions about their institutions.

Christmas Parade

The Jasper Lake Sam Rayburn Area Chamber of Commerce announced the date of the Christmas parade will be Friday, Dec. 7, at 6:30 p.m. Theme is "Christmas 'round the World." Call 384-2762 or visit www.jaspercoc.org.

Project Graduation

Jasper Project Graduation meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. in the Jasper High School Library. All seniors and parents need to attend to discuss fundraisers, the point system, and other information. For more information call Charla James at 384-7866.

Baseball tryouts

The Franchise select baseball team, 11 and under, is looking for a few dedicated players for the spring season. Tryouts will be Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. at Buna Little League. For infomation call Chad Shepherd at 679-0267.

Catfish Cabin

Catfish Cabin in Lumberton, Hwy. 96, first light on right, will host a Bluegrass, Gospel and Country Western music Christmas party Dec. 4 at 5 p.m. Instruments can be brought to play and voices to sing. Limited seating so RSVP at 727-1403.

JISD Band Concert

The Jasper ISD Christmas Band Concert will be Dec. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Jasper High School auditorium.

Relay For Life

The fifth annual Relay For Life teams are now forming for April 25 - 26. The theme this year is "Hooray for Hollywood: Closing the Curtain on Cancer." For more information on forming or joining a team call Sandy Flores at 384-8196.

Harvest Church at 1501 S. Wheeler now offers a food bank the first Tuesday of each month 9 - 11 a.m.

Grief support

The Friends of Job helps those who have lost a child, grandchild or sibling. They meet the first and third Tuesday each month 6:30-8 p.m. at First Baptist Church. For more information call 698-2356.

HELP needed

Bereavement luncheon

Caring Friends bereavement luncheon is held the third Tuesday of each month at 11 a.m. at the Belle-Jim Hotel, hosted by Lakes Area Hospice (384- 5995) and Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home (384- 5781).
