Golden sentences 5 defendants Seven cases against five defendants were settled by plea agreement or waiver of indictment in District Judge Joe Bob Golden's court Nov. 16. Gerald Stanley, 18, of Jasper pleaded guilty to burglary of a habitation and received 10 years in TDCJ (Texas Department of Criminal Justice), probated for 10 years; $1,000 fine, $236 court cost, attorney fee, $1,305 restitution and 240 hours community service, to run concurrently with a robbery sentence, settled by waiver of indictment, for 10 years TDCJ, $1,000 fine, $236 court cost, attorney fee and 240 hours community service. Steven Vaulner, 49, of Kirbyville, waived ndictment on burglary of a building and received two years state jail probated for three years, $1,000 fine, $236 court cost, $2,250 restitution, 120 community service, and attorney fee. Derek Blankenship, 20, of Buna waived indictment on burglary of a building and received two years state jail probated for three years, $1,000 fine, $227 court cost, $245 restitution, 120 hours community service, attorney fee. Scott A Bagwell, 36, of Jasper, waived indictment on possession of a controlled substance and received one year state jail, to run concurrently with a Jefferson County sentence. Matthew Awbrey, 36, of Midland, waived indictment on possession of a controlled substance and received two years state jail probated for four years, $1,000 fine, $236 court cost, $140 restitution to the DPS lab, 120 hours community service, and attorney fee, to run concurrently with sentence for abandoning or endangering a child. |
