Singing Convention

The 15th annual "Singing Convention at Jasper" featuring "shaped notes" will meet at Zion Hill Baptist Church Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. and Dec. 2 at 9:30 a.m. - noon.

Annual Usher Day

The Gilgal Baptist Church will have their annual Usher Day Dec. 2 at 2:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Barry Keys of Dixie Missionary Baptist Church.

Men's Day

Moore Chapel CME Church, 991 S. Bowie, will hold their annual Men's Day program Dec. 2 at 3 p.m. Guests will be Willis Traylor and the congregatoins of Bethlehem Baptist Church. For more information call 384-8632.

Newton choir

First Untied Methodist Church in Newton will have their Christmas Cantata at 10:45 a.m. Dec. 9. After worship services, a full Christmas dinner with turkey and all the trimmings will be served.

Newton Methodist

The Methodist Christian School in Newton will perfrom their annual Christmas pageant and puppet play for the community Tuesday, Dec. 20, beginning at 6 p.m.

Spanish ministry

Tanglewood Baptist Church sponsors a Hispanic Mission, Mission Bautista Calvario in Jasper. Worship services are 9:45 a.m. Sunday mornings and Bible study and prayer services Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. For more information call 384- 4727.

Men's breakfast
