City Wide Singing

The Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church will host the City Wide Singing Convention Dec. 9 at 2:30 p.m.

Newton choir

First United Methodist Church in Newton will have their Christmas Cantata at 10:45 a.m. Dec. 9. After worship services, a full Christmas dinner with turkey and all the trimmings will be served.

Annual silver and gold ball

Mt. Zion CME Church and Mark Andrew Hardin Sr. will present the annual silver and gold ball, "Celebrating the Birth of Christ" at the First National Bank Community Room Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. with a guest church and speaker. Dinner will be served.

Newton Methodist

The Methodist Christian School in Newton will perfrom the annual Christmas pageant and puppet play Dec. 20 at 6 p.m.
