Chamber seeking nominations for annual awards banquet

Planning has begun and nominations are being sought by the Jasper Lake Sam Rayburn Area Chamber of Commerce for the annual recognition banquet to be held Friday, Jan. 25, at Wesley Center.

Theme is "Spirit of Community," according to special events coordinator Liz Street.

The chamber is accepting nominations for the young person of the year, newcomer of the year, citizen of the year, hometown hero, small business of the year, and chamber member of the year.

Deadline for nominations is Friday, Jan. 4. Applications are available at the chamber office, 246. E. Milam, or call 384-2762.
