Ruth Smith Willis Quinn Ruth Smith Willis Quinn, 98, died Friday, November 30 at her home in Pasadena, Texas. Mrs. Quinn was born to George and Maude Smith in Grapeland, Texas on May 17, 1909. She married Guy Willis in 1927 and they had two daughters. After Mr. Willis' death, she married again, to Carl Quinn in 1979. Upon his death, she and her daughter, Neil, bought a home in Pasadena, where they lived together until her death. She attended the Jasper Church of Christ for thirty years before moving to Pasadena, where she was a member of th Watters Road Church of Christ. She was a faithful Christian all her life. Mrs. Quinn was preceded in death by her parents, two half brothers, three brothers, one sister, as well has her two husbands and son in law, Jimmie Morton. She is survived by daughters, Nell Morton of Pasadea, and Billie Ruth and husband, Gale Ray of Lubock, Texas; grandchildren, Gayelle Needham, Blaine Morton, Kathi Barrers, DeeAnn Kopriva and Micahel Ray; ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by step-son, Max Quinn and wife, Ann, step son in law, Tommy Day and wife, Nita; six step grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by one brother, three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing for Mrs. Quinn will be Thursday, December 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. and services will be at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 7 with Barry Day, Charles Davis and Gale Ray. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, in Jasper. |
