Food donations

Greater Jasper Share, a local food pantry, is taking donations to help feed those without. They are located next to Hamburger Depot off S. Wheeler in Jasper. Call 384-9910 for more information.

Marines for Tots

Reagan Clotiaux, the local Edward Jones financial advisor, is supporting the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots drive by using his office as a drop off location, 805 S. Wheeler, during business hours.

College fair

Jasper High School will host its annual College Fair Dec. 5 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in the shell gym. More than 40 colleges will send recruiters to answer questions about their institutions.

Christmas Parade

The Jasper Lake Sam Rayburn Area Chamber of Commerce announced the date of the Christmas parade will be Friday, Dec. 7, at 6:30 p.m. Theme is "Christmas 'round the World." Call 384- 2762 or visit www.jaspercoc. org.

Relay for Life

The American Cancer Society's 5th Annual Relay For Life Jasper / Lakes Area, will hold its official Kick-Off party on Dec. 7 at 7:15 p.m. at the Jasper Fire Hall on Water St. in Jasper.

TEEA party

The TEEA Christmas party is Dec. 7 starting at 10 a.m. at Call Baptist Church on U.S. Highway 96 South. The Texas extension group will be collecting gifts for the hospice and drawing for the door prize.

Project Graduation

Jasper Project Graduation meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. in the Jasper High School Library. All seniors and parents need to attend to discuss fundraisers, the point system, and other information. For more information call Charla James at 384-7866.

JISD Concert

The Jasper ISD Christmas Band Concert will be Dec. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Jasper High School auditorium.The concert will include selections by the 6th grade band, Junior High Concert Band, Junior High Symphonic Band, High School Jazz Band, and the High School Band.

Federal Employees

The regular monthly meeting of Silsbee-Jasper Chapter 1319 of the National Association of Current and Retired Federal Employees will be Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. in St. Mark's Catholic Educational Bldg., 905 N. 9th St. in Silsbee. Bring Christian Care Center contributions and a Christmas program and luncheon will follow business meeting.

Jasper Retired Teachers

The Jasper Retired Teachers Association will hold its annual Christmas luncheon 11:30 a.m. Dec. 13 at the Church of Christ Christian Service Center. Each member is asked to bring an unwrapped gift for the Women and Children's Shelter.

Community singing

The Woman's Civic Club on Milam Street will host the community singing of "The Messiah" spnsored by Keep Jasper Beautiful, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. Call 594-4209 for more information.

Gingerbread houses

Martin Dies Jr. State Park will hold their gingerbread construction project for young architects and designers Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. Children will build and decorate a gingerbread house and gingerbread man ornament.

Bluebonnet Garden Club

The Bluebonnet Garden Club will meet Dec. 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the home of Angie Beard, 310 Olive St. The hostesses will be Martha Westmoreland and Mary LouFain. Contact the hostesses by Dec. 10 if you will attend.

JHS Choir

The Jasper High School Choirs will present "Winter Wonderland," a holiday concert, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts auditorium. The concert is free and will be followed by a Choir Boosters reception.
