The Jasper Bulldogs have posted two losses at home in pre-district action; however they this doesn't prevent them from planning to make the playoffs, according to Head Coach Terry Young.

Huntington defeated Jasper 57-35, Nov. 19. Huntington went up 15-9 at the end of the first perios and and outscored the 'Dogs 22-9, 12-6, and 14-5 in subsequent quarters.

DJ Jackson led the Bulldog effort with 13 points, followed by Jaren Bronson, 11.

Jasper hit four out of 11 or 28 percent at the freethrow line.

They also lost to Warren. That score was not available.

"The opening game against Warren put us up against a team filled with seniors- a very well coach team and our flaws were exploited," Coach Young said. "We got down early and were outscored by 19 in the first half compared to only three points in the second half. I am disappointed with our 0-2 start, particularly since both games were played in our gym. Good teams win at home. However, nothing has happened thus far that deters us from our goal of making the playoffs.

The Bulldogs will compete in tournament and non-district games until Friday, Dec. 21 when they play their first district game against Hamshire-Fannett.
