Students of the Week
Cody Lilly, an eighth grade student at Jasper Junior High School, has been selected as student of the week for the week of Dec. 10-14. According to teacher Linda Greenleaf, "Cody is a very caring, respectful, and helpful student who has made tremendous improvements towards his academic career." Lilly enjoys hunting, working livestock, and riding fourwheelers during his spare time. Cody says his favorite subject is math, because "my teacher believes in me." He is the son of Michael and Amanda Granger. Jasper High School Alton Trae Horn, a senior at Jasper High School, has been selected as student of the week for the week of Dec. 10 - 14. "Trae exemplifies all of the necessary character traits to be nominated for student of the week. As I watch him work and interact with his peers, he shows an individual self-discipline committed to success," said administrator Brenda Payne. "He never lets his peers pressure or sway his desire to excel. Trae is truly a super student that will be a success wherever he goes."
Rowe Intermediate Nicole McMullen, a fifth grade student of Rowe Intermediate has been selected as student of the week for the week of Dec. 10 - 14. Shelia Guillory said, "Nicole McMullen is a very responsible student. She comes in and sits down every day to prepare to learn. She always has her supplies with her and is very cooperative when working with her lab partners. She is a very welcome addition to my homeroom class." She likes to color in her spare time. Her favorite subject is reading.
McMullen is the daughter of Monica Garrett.
