Iris S. Ellis

Funeral services for Iris S. Ellis, 57, of Deweyville were held Monday, December 10, 2007 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper with burial at Magnolia Cemetery, in Holly Springs.

Iris died December 7, 2007 at her home in Deweyville. Anative of Jasper and resident of Deweyville for the past 14 years, she was a 1968 graduate of Jasper High School. She was a long time payroll accountant, working for Preferred Home Health until her illness. She loved her family especially her grandbabies and fishing with Wallace. She enjoyed supervising Wallace in the flower garden. She also enjoyed flea market shopping.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years Wallace Ellis, Sr. of Deweyville; her mother Hazel Rogers of Jasper; two sons William Olan Ellis and Wallace Wayne Ellis, Jr. both of Deweyville; two daughters Haley Bohler of Newton, and Jo Ann Bishop of Tyler; one brother Forrest Rogers of Vidor; three grandchildren Clayton Bohler, Caleb Bohler, & William Peyton Ellis. She was preceded in death by her father W. J. Rogers & her sister Brenda Pilgrim.
