Lady Bulldogs drop district contest to Orangefield 77-42

      The Jasper Lady Bulldogs suffered their second district loss, this time to state ranked Orangefield, Dec. 11. The Lady Bobcats, ranked number 14 by the TABC, downed Jasper 77-42. "We played a great first quarter, trailing by only two points, 14 - 12," coach Joe Baker said.

All-district football picks next week
      Southeast Texas was well-represented when the All-District teams were announced following the end of the football campaigns. Jasper and Kirbyville placed many players on the District 21-3A all-district squads while Buna dominated the District 24-2A all-district squad.

Jasper falls to Pollack Central 66-57 Friday

      The Jasper Bulldogs lost 66-57 to Pollack Central Friday night in their last preseason game before starting district play this week. "This was our final tuneup leading up to district and we feel teams such as Central can only help with our district preparations," coach Terry Young said.
