The race that appears to be drawing the most attention is the race for Jasper County Sheriff, three have filed for the office.

For all those who have filed for office, kudos to you.

By running for office, you are wanting to serve this county and that well deserves a pat on the back.

For those challenging an incumbent, kudos to you as well. By giving us a choice for the office, you are allowing democracy to work at its best level.

During the coming months, these candidates will be stumping for your votes and support. Choose wisely. Take a look at the candidates and see what they offer you and what they can offer the county.

Come March, we will make our voice heard. Thanks to these candidates, we will have an election that counts.
