Dawgs, Cats gain post-season honors

      As the Class 3A playoffs continued, one aspect became perfectly clear. District 21-3A was well represented in the playoffs. Jasper and Kirbyville earned 15 and 11 spots respectfully on the District 21-3A football All-District teams announced after the season.

Newton, Woodville garner all-district honors for teams

      District champion Newton placed 20 teams on the District 23-2A All- District squad while the Woodville Eagles placed 12 members on the postseason squad. Coming into the 2007 season, Newton Head Football Coach Curtis Barbay knew his seniors would play a big part in this year's success.

Buna places 22 players on all-district squad

      When you have large number of seniors returning to your squad, two things can be expected. First, you will produce a good season and second, you will dominate the alldistrict squad. "This is the best team we have had here in a long time," said Buna Head Football Coach Bradley Morgan.
