Churches provide for childrens' Christmas

The First United Methodist Church in Newton had an angel tree this year. They furnished presents for 20 different children in the Newton community.

Each Christmas they collect information about children who may not receive anything for Christmas. The information is filtered through Charlet Meyer at the county extension office to ensure even distribution of gifts to children.

Each child or parent gives sizes, needs, and desires for the people to try and buy. This year the extension office distributed the gifts at Grace Bible Church.

Grace Bible Church received gifts from various organizations: The East Texas Chopper Guys, Sawmill Town, The Marine Corps' Toys for Tots, and The First United Methodist Church in Newton.
