Today - last day to file

Today, Jan. 2, is the last day for a candidate to file for a place on the ballot for the March election, according to Jasper County Clerk Debbie Newman.

The county clerk's office in the courthouse will remain open an extra hour, until 6 p.m., for any late filers.
