Lady Dogs fall to Bridge City 60-47

      The Jasper Lady Bulldogs turned a 10-point lead into a 13-point loss to Bridge City, Tuesday, Dec. 18, on their home court. Jasper led 32-22 at the half, but turnovers and missed shots in the second half yielded a third district 60-47 defeat in as many games.

Dawgs claim win over BC

      The Jasper Bulldogs opened district play with a 65-61 win over Bridge City Dec. 18 on the road. Jasper trailed 14-10 at the end of the first quarter and 31-25 at the half. Jasper rallied in the second half, outscoring the Cardinals 17-13 in the third and 23-17 in the fourth period.

      Both junior high school girls basketball teams defeated Bridge City, Dec. 17. Seventh graders dominated the game by a whopping score of 54-6 with Jasper leader Miqua Spikes tallying 32 points, six rebounds, seven steals, and three assists.
