Jack Jefferson A new star shines in Heaven, Jack Jefferson, 77, of Vidor went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 24, 2007 at Oakwood Manor surrounded by daughters, and families and a host of friends. He was born Jan 15, 1930 to John and Stella Jefferson of Jasper, Texas. Alongtime resident of Vidor, Texas. He was a proud Korean War Veteran and was retired from Southwestern Bell. He was an active member of Pecan Acres Baptist Church of Vidor, known by most as the "Candy Man". Jack was a loving husband, devoted father, great brother, great uncle, and forever friend. He will be missed by all he met from young to old he touched in some way. Paw Paw Jack adored all 5 grand children and 11 greatgrandchildren, loved to spoil them all rotten as often as he could. He loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his wife Eloise of 48 years, his parents John and Stella Jefferson, his brother Bill, sister Francis. He is survived by his daughter's Pam Fulmer and husband Steve, Becky Carriere and husband Todd all of Vidor. Grandchildren: Angie, Amanda, Shana, Jimmy and Justin, also eleven great grandchildren, two sisters Jimmie Wilson, Qunell Thomas and brother-in-law Gene Thomas all of Jasper, two brother-in-laws, Harry Christian and Robert Stewart, and three sister-in-laws Joyce Jefferson, Gloria Tolar, and Juanita Tolar, and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Funeral services were held December 29, 2007 at Pecan Acres Baptist Church of Vidor, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. |
