Students of the Week
Itzel Renteria, a senior of Jasper High School, has been selected as student of the week for the week of Jan. 7 - 11. "Itzel is a very hard worker who goes the extra mile to help out. She is a pleasure to be around and always has a smile on her face," said teacher Lauren Powell. "Itzel is a positive role model for the children in PELE as well as her peers." Renteria is the daughter of Jose Renteria. Jasper Junior High School Ashley Dutton, a seventh grade student of Jasper Junior High School, has been selected as student of the week for the week of Jan. 7 - 11. "Ashley works very hard in my class. She treats me and her peers with respect," said teacher Lynn Betz. "She is a pleasure to have in the classroom." Dutton is a Jr. High cheerleader and enjoys reading during her spare time. Her favorite subject is writing. She is the daughter of James and Andrea Dutton. Rowe Intermediate
"Dannah is very vivacious and loyal, which makes her a great student to work with," said teacher Christine Wheatley. Her hobbies are soccer, volleyball, and basketball. Her favorite subject is reading.
Ratcliff is the daughter of Kayla and Michael Ratcliff.
