Millard Harvey

Millard Harvey, 80, of Burkeville died at his home Dec. 27, 2007. A native of Evans, LA, he was a long time Burkeville resident. After serving in the U.S. Army in World War II, he drove a truck for Herrin Transportation for many years. After 32 years, he retired as the Maintenance/Transportation Director for Burkeville ISD.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Stringer & Griffin's FM 1414 Chapel in Burkeville, with military graveside services held at Evans Cemetery in Evans, LA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Harvey. Survivors include his daughter Glinda Hussey of Orange, daughter Sue Gallagher of Vidor, son David Harvey of Porter, daughter Tassie Harvey of Burkeville, stepson Mike Northern of Burkeville, 11 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren and a host of other friends and relatives.
