John Edward Wolford Sr.

John Edward Wolford Sr., 46, of Brookeland, passed away January 6, 2008 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital. A native of Pt. Arthur, TX, he was a 1979 graduate of Bishop Byrne High School. He was also a 27 year veteran of the law enforcement community serving as a Jefferson County Warrant Officer for 17 years, SWAT team of Jefferson County for 14 years, several years as team leader, and currently a Deputy Constable for Jefferson County.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2008, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow at Brookeland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 from 4:00 P.M. until a rosary service begins at 5:30 P.M. at Forest Oaks.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bert Hilton Wolford and his daughter, Jessica Lynn Wolford. Survivors include his wife Deana Wolford of Brookeland, TX; Mother, Margaret "Peggy" Wolford of Brookeland, TX; Sons, John Wolford Jr. & wife Melissa of Longmont, CO, Jake Hilton Wolford of Brookeland, TX, and Nathan David of Groves, TX; Daughters, Jennifer Kay Jones of Lake Charles, LA, Justina Wolford of Longmont, CO, Maggie Elizabeth Wolford of Brookeland, TX, and Megan David of Pt. Neches, TX; Brothers, Billy Wolford and Richard Wolford both of Groves, TX; Sister, Linda Dubose of Orange, TX; along with one grandchild, Kadence Lynn Wolford.
