More trees available

This is the last week residents of Jasper, Newton and Tyler counties can register for a free tree through Operation Greenstreets, a program sponsored by the Texas Forest Service through Texas A&M University.

Trees are three- to six-foot tall nursery stock in pots. Selection is not guaranteed but includes a choice of magnolia, live oak, Shumard oak or sweet gum.
