BREAKING NEWS: Two suspects still at large after burglaries

 Jasper County authorities are searching for four suspects in connection with a pair of burglaries in Jasper and Kirbyville.

According to Kirbyville Police Chief Paul Brister, five suspects were seen in front of S & R Pharmacy in Kirbyville by KPD officer Bob Walker at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22. Walker attempted to question the suspects who fled down Harris Street and jumped out of their moving vehicle.

The five suspects were able to elude Walker but with the aid of Jasper Police Officer Garret Foster and his K-9 officer, one suspect was located and captured by police.

Brister said two suspects believed to be involved in the incident were captured in the Buna area at 8:15 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 23 and two suspects are still at large.

The suspects are described as black males and are considered armed and dangerous. Walker said when the five suspects left their vehicle he noticed three of them with weapons.
