School honors

Sam Houston State University

The following students received degrees from Sam Houston State University in December 2007:

Mindy Michelle Ellis of Kirbyville was awarded a bachelor of science in criminal justice.

Roy Todd Hunter of Jasper was awarded a bachelor in applied arts-science.

The Dean's list at Sam Houston consists of all full-time students having grade point averages of 3.5 and above. These students were named to the Dean's list for Fall 2007:

Senior Terra L. Bossier of Buna was named to the President's Honor Roll with a perfect grade point average of 4.0.

East Texas Baptist University

East Texas Baptist University has recognized outstanding students for the 2007 fall semester with the release of the Dean's List with Honors and Dean's List.

Students on Dean's List with Honors are Elise Beddingfield, Sylvia Beddingfield, Aaron Bryant, Christina Carter, and Anna Polson; all of Jasper.
