Bulldog bark 2008

Glitz, glam and boys? A few necessities to put together Jasper High School Project Graduation's annual Bulldog Pageant. The pageant was held Sat., Jan. 26 in the auditorium at the high school's and the audience arrived to be entertained by the class of 2008.

Moms pulled out cameras and dads hid behind seats supporting their "little girls." The show began with announcer Victor Williams introducing each contestant one by one.

Contestant #1: "Lucky Lia" O'Flaherty (Liam O'Flaherty), senior sponsors: Gabriela Zavala and Katie Waldrop, financial sponsor: Hybrasyl Music Productions.

Contestant #2: "Daffney" Beck (David Beck), senior sponsors: Jodaisha Palmer and Nicole Spiller, financial sponsor: Martin's Mexican Restaurant.

Contestant #3: "T'Yonce" Avant (Terrance Avant), senior sponsors: Trena Adams, Keyna Mason, Erica Fowler, and Jerica Baker, financial sponsors: Lake Area Seafood, Billy's BBQ, Nay Nay's Beauty Salon, and Coleman's Dentistry.

Contestant #4: "Delicious Delilah" Cleveland-Hadley (David Cleveland- Hadley), senior sponsors: Ashley Garcia, Brooke Wagnon and Amanda Miesch, financial sponsor: Center Stage Dance Studio.

Contestant #5: "Jaclyn Grace" Sanderson (Jack Sanderson), senior sponsors: Brandi Barefield and Jackie O'Brien, financial sponsor: Jasper Exxon Towing and Recovery.

Contestant #6: "Zoee" Riggins (Zach Riggins), senior sponsors: Natalie Sollock and Britney Shaw, financial sponsor: The Swim Gym.

Contestant #7: "Ma'Kayla Lynn" Lewis (Michael Lewis), senior sponsors: Amy Zinke, Nicole Hamilton and Itzel Renteria, financial sponsors: Lewis Construction, Casey Flurry Logging and Shoebird Bead Box.

Contestant #8: "Marashy I Stay Classy" Smith (Morris Smith), senior sponsors: Amber Grant, Jalessa Johnson, Shalethia Middleton, D'Aundrea Spikes and Rasheeda Cauley, financial sponsor: Sells Logging.

Contestant #9: "Jesina Antwanisha" Borner (Jesse Borner), senior sponsors: Harlena Hadnot, Elly Romero and Tamela Hafford, financial sponsors: Elaine Cassimere, Joseph Cassimere, Glenda Rugley, Always Remembered, Unique Boutique, Carolyn McLemore and Janice McCoy.

Contestant #10: "MaKay Kay" Crowell (Michael Crowell), senior sponsors: Sterling Brodnax and Melanie Lofton, financial sponsor: East Texas Support Services.

Contestant #11: "TreTiauna Tre Chel" Horn (Trae Horn), senior sponsors: Keyna Mason and Tokoia Watts, financial sponsor: The Growing Room Daycare and Preschool.

Contestant #12: "Xaviana Latrice" Mays (Xavier Mays), senior sponsors: Jalessa Johnson, Jasmyne Hafford, Brianna Hector and Sara Guzman, financial sponsor: TaMollie's Mexican Restaurant.

Contestant #13: "Madison Paulette Daniella" Daniels (Michael Daniels, senior sponsors: Jodaisha Palmer and Hannah Smith, financial sponsor: Morian and Kahla Law Office.

Then they did their openi

n g dance number to the Cupid Shuffle.

With introductions made and appearances looked upon the "girls" got ready for their talent competition. They did everything from rap to ballet and singing to acting. They showed much spirit and enthusiasm during their performances.

One last change was made into their formal wear for their evening questions. When finished with last minute announcements and competition the "ladies" waited in anticipation for the winners to be announced.

While waiting for the final call senior sponsors and contestants all danced to the opening number one last time for another pageant memory. Then, the envelope was brought to the stage.

People's Choice Award went to Madison Pauletta Daniella (Michael Daniels). During intermission the participants walked around the auditorium to collect money for their "girl" and project graduation. Daniels collected the most out of the 13 contestants.

Best evening gown winner was "TreTiauna Tre Chel" (Trae Horn).

Second Runner up, best personality, and best talent all went to "MaKay Kay" (Michael Crowell).

Third runner up went to "Jesina Antwanisha" (Jesse Borner).

Finally, the winner of the 2008 Bulldog Bark Pageant went to "T'Yonce" (Terrance Avant).

The wigs flew off and and the earrings came out as the pageant ended as daddys' little girls became mammas' little boys again.
