Grand Jury indicts 12

The Jasper County Grand Jury met Jan. 29 and returned indictments in the following cases (indictment does not mean these defendants are guilty, but that the grand jury found sufficient evidence to proceed with trial):

Steven E. Comte, 21, of Brookeland on aggravated sexual assault.

John W. Johnson, 20, of Kirbyville on two counts of criminal mischief.

Gary B. George Jr., 18, of Kirbyville on two counts of criminal mischief.

Derek E. Thompson, 23, of Call on two counts of criminal mischief.

Coby A. Fowler, 20, of Call on criminal mischief.

James H. Leavings Jr., 21, of Kirbyvi8lle on criminal mischief.

Mark D. Inman, 39, of Kirbyville on evading arrest.

Howard E. Martin, 34, of Pineland on possession of a controlled substance.

Carl L. Lively, 44, of Richardson on two counts of aggravated robbery.

Terrance D. Collins, 32, of Jasper on possession of a controlled substance.

Tiffany A. Eagles, 22, of Jasper on possession of a controlled substance.

Robert W. Watson, 46, of Italy, TX, on possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
