Shipman

Jasper High School

Todd Shipman, senior of Jasper High School, has been selected as student of the week for the week of Feb. 11 - 15.

"Todd exhibits good attitude and accomplishes anything he sets out to do; he's committed, has good character and puts forth effort to complete any task," said teacher Mrs. McMillan.

Shipman is the son of Ralph and Karen Shipman.

Rowe Intermediate

Terrell Cuney, a sixth grade student of Rowe Intermediate, has been selected as student of the week for the week of Feb. 11 - 15.

"Terrell is very hard working. He enjoys reading books. Because he likes to read he will go far in life," said teacher Barbara Hoyle.

Cuney likes to play basketball and football. His favorite subject is computers because he loves learning how to type.

Cuney is the son of Tanya Cuney.

Jasper Junior High School

Maria Martinez, an eighth grade student at Jasper Junior High School, has been selected as student of the week for the week of Feb. 11-15.

"Maria is an office aide at Jasper Jr. High during second period. She comes into my office each day wanting to know if there is anything that she can do to help," said JJHS Registrar Karen Byerly.

"Maria is a sweet girl. It is my privilege to be able to nominate her as student of the week."

Martinez loves spending time in the outdoors hunting or fishing with her dad. Her favorite subject is math.

She is the daughter of Jesus and Kathy Martinez.
