JHS choir students receive superior rating at UIL

Nine Jasper High School Choir members traveled to Baytown Lee High School last week to participate in the UIL Region 10 Solo Contest.

Seven students received "superior" ratings and qualified for the state competition in May. They included Jessica Alvis, Katelyn Dougharty, Jessica Guy, Marcie Ratcliff, Sarah Wade, Kelsey Walker and Anthony McCarter.

Quentin Fowler and Tiffany Spiller also competed in the regional contest and received "excellent" ratings.
