Christus St. E. nurse named Staff Nurse of Year by NBNA

Rhonda Ruben, BAAS, LVN, orthopedics nurse at Christus Hospital - St. Elizabeth in Beaumont has been named Staff Nurse of the Year by the National Black Nurses Association.

Ruben is only the second vocational nurse to receive this award in its 35 year history. In addition to her clinical duties, Ruben also participates in cancer awareness programs, women's health initiatives, and volunteers with the American Cancer Society.

Ruben is the vice president of the Southeast Texas Black Nurses Association.
