Garbage pick up

Garbage pick up continues on a schedule altered for President's Day. Feb. 19 garbage is picked up today, Feb. 20; Feb. 20 will be picked up Feb. 21 and Feb. 21 - 22 picked up Feb. 22.

Rock club

The Pine Country Gem and Mineral Society will meet Thursday, Feb. 21 at 6:30 p.m.; the program will be Zeb Rike on using GPS, postponed from last month. Meetings are the third Thursday at their clubhouse at 110 N. Zavalla across from the courthouse annex.

Mardi Gras Banquet

The Jasper High School National Honor Society will have a Mardi Gras Banquet Feb. 23 in the Shell Gym at 6:30 p.m. To purchase a ticket for an evening of music and Cajun food see an NHS member or contact the high school at 384-3242.

Bluebonnet Garden Club

The Bluebonnet Garden Club meeting will be hosted by Barbara Wilson and Billie Collier at Sandy Creek Park Feb. 21 at 10:30 a.m. The club will clean up the flower beds.

Art workshop

The East Texas Art League will offer a watercolor workshop with artist Alice Powell Saturday, Feb. 23, 10 a.m. - noon and 1 - 3 p.m. at the Arts Center at 364 N. Austin in Jasper. Call 384-2404.

Steel Magnolias

Tyler County Art League and the Tyler County Players will present Steel Magnolias Feb. 26 and March 1 at 7:30 p.m. nightly and March 2 at 2:30 p.m. at the Lions Den, Hwy. 190 E. in Woodville. For more information call 283-2788.

Financial aid meeting

Redbud Festival

Redbud Open Rodeo

Kentucky Derby

The Woman's Civic Club of Jasper will hold their Kentucky Derby luncheon, a fund-raiser open to all, at Gloriana Farms Thursday, April 10, from 11:30 to 1:00. music

USS Boxer Veteran's

Project Graduation

Harvest Church at 1501 S. Wheeler now offers a food bank the first Tuesday of each month 9 - 11 a.m.
