By GEORGIA PURDY Newsboy Correspondent

MICHAEL CROWELL signs a letter of intent with Kilgore Junior College. Pictured left to right are parents Doug and Jan Crowell, Michael, and Coach Thomas Brooks.
Michael Crowell says his decision to attend Kilgore Junior College was based on their outstanding football program.

"Kilgore Junior College has a very hard working and hardnosed team," Michael said. "KJC also has the winningest junior college team in the state."

Michael is considering a major in business and likes the fact that the school helps their athletes stay prepared in academics. physical therapy.

William says that his best asset that he carries from playing high school football is his ability to be a team player.

"I've learned how to be a team player," he said. "And that means thinking about the team first instead of just myself."

Like the other seniors who signed letters of intent last week, he also feels that the 2007 Silsbee game will be the one he always remembers.

"The last regular season game against Silsbee is the one I will remember," he said. "We had to win in order to get into the playoffs, and I scored two touchdowns."

William is the son of Thomas and Sherry Brooks.
