34 churches to participate in On Mission Celebration

The Southern Baptist Church will host an "On Mission Celebration" the week of March 1-5, with 34 churches participating in the Sabine Neches area.

Different missionaries will speak at each of the 34 churches about their mission work. The missionaries are supported financially by the offerings given by the churches through a cooperative program,

The week begins with a "meet the missionary" rally at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Jasper, March 1, from 2-4 p.m. At 4 p.m. Clyde Meador, vice president of the International Mission Board will speak. Meador has served as a missionary and teacher in Indonesia and Asia.

Beginning Sunday, March 2, different missionaries will speak at participating churches; check with the various churches to find out their schedules. Those participating are:

Emmanual Association - Central Buna, First Buna, Genesis Buna, Central Evadale, Good Shepherd Silsbee, First Silsbee, North Hardin Silsbee, Pinecrest Silsbee, Crestwood Lumberton, Emmanual Honey island, Wildwood Village Mills and Pine Ridge Sour Lake.

Sabine Valley Association - First Hemphill, First Pineland, Rayburn Jasper, Rayburn Parkway Bronson, Call Junction Kirbyville, Central Kirbyville, First Jasper, First Kirbyville, First Newton, Hillcrest Jasper and Tanglewood Jasper.

New Bethel Association - Calvary Woodville, Camp Ground Woodville, Fairview Woodville, First Colmesneil, Hillister Woodville, Beech Creek Spurger, First Spurger, First Warren, Mt. Nebo Fred and Mt. Olivet Fred.
