Jasper County grand jury indicts nine Feb. 19

The Jasper County grand jury met Feb. 19 and indicted nine defendants. Indictment does not mean these defendants are guilty, but that the grand jury found sufficient evidence to proceed with trial. Indictments were returned on:

Leroy Diggles Jr., 41, of Dallas, on theft of service.

Cedric C. Williams, 23, of Jasper, on possession of a controlled substance.

Robert K. Samford, 37, of Nacogdoches on boating while intoxicated.

Stephen T. Striegel, 21, of Brookeland on aggravated assault.

James C. Scarborough, 39, of Vidor on injury to a child.

Mark. D. Inman, 39, of Kirbyville on driving while intoxicated.

Lyndon L. Jones, 28, of Call on possession of a controlled substance.

Debra D. Cobb, 44, of Kirbyville on possession of a controlled substance.

Lance A. Cobb, 36, of Kirbyville on possession of a controlled substance.
