CASA training classes start soon
      Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are seeking volunteers to train to advocate for abused, neglected and abandoned children in Orange, Jasper, Newton, Tyler, Hardin, Sabine and San Augustine counties. Classes begin March 22, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Seven students move on to state finals in rodeo competition
      The Texas High School Rodeo Association Wrangler Junior High Division held its two day finals in Lufkin at the George H. Henderson Exposition Center. Jasper had seven students compete and all of them qualified for state finals in Gonzales June 3 - 7.
