Pineywood Youth Soccer plans spring league

The Pineywoods Youth Soccer League will hold a 2008 Spring League this coming year.

The registration fee for the spring league will be $35 with registration scheduled to end March 25.

Player 4-17 by Aug. 1, 2008 is eligible for participation.

Shorts and socks will not be provided for the spring league.

The spring league is scheduled to begin play April 19 and will run through the second weekend in June. Practices will begin the first week in April.

Registration forms are available at all Elijah's Cafe Restaurants, Diamond G's in Newton, and Stamps Commercial Press in Jasper.

"If enough kids from Kirbyville, Woodville, or Newton sign up to make a team from that area, then they will be able to practice there as well," said James Roesch, PYSL board member. "The interest from Kirbyville has been quite high so I expect several teams from different age groups there."
