Bulldogs win opener against Orangefield

      The Jasper Bulldog baseball team defeated Orangefield 3-1 last week in their district opener and then went on to win all games in the Jasper tournament over the weekend. Justin Parsons threw a complete game against the Bobcats with 11 strikeouts.

      Jasper boys' soccer team lost 10-0 to district leader Nacogdoches Friday night. "We played the number one team in the district and started off well," Coach Chris Coats said.

      The Jasper Lady Bulldog softball played only one district game last week, losing out 2-0 to Orangefield. "Jesse Cordova pitched her best game this year," Coach Nancy Walker said. "She allowed two runs, had two K's and only two hits and only walked one.
