CJMH names Pounders CNO

Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital recently announced the addition of Christy Pounders as the Chief Nursing Officer for the hospital.

Pounders assumed the position as CNO Feb. 18 after spending the past six years working for Lufkin Memorial Hospital. She has an associate of science degree in nursing from Alvin Community College, a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix and is working toward completing her Masters of Science Degree in Nursing.

She has 26 years of experience in nursing and has held a variety of clinical and leadership positions. Pounders will be responsible for the administrative, operational and clinical services ranging from surgical care to emergency services at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital.
