Writers Guild

The Sabine Neches Writers Guild meet March 13 in the back of the RE/MAX office Main and Houston St. in Jasper at 6:30 p.m.

Rose Society

Fish Fry

The fire department will hold a fund-raiser fish fry at Holly Springs March 15, 10:30 until it's gone, on U.S. 190 East next to the Baptist Church.

Library book sale

The Jasper Public Library holds a semi-annual book sale in the fire hall across from the library March 15. The sale preview and membership drive is Friday, March 14, 5 - 7 p.m. Call 384- 3791.

4-H fundraiser

Jasper 4-H will sell barbecue lunches in front of Brookshire Brothers on U.S. Highway 96 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 21.

Citizenship

Region 5 Adult Education Center, 302 S. Wheeler in Jasper will begin citizenship and naturalization classes March 25 at 6 p.m. for adults 18 or older. Call 384-2004.

Elvis lives

Hemphill Auction

The men of the First United Methodist Church will hold their third annual auction at the church in downtown Hemphill April 5 at 9 a.m. Food and drinks will be sold.

Taste of Jasper

The Pilot Club will hold the 13th annual Taste of Jasper Saturday, April 5, at the Wesley Center from 5 - 8 p.m. The club is requesting donations for the silent auction. Call Barbara Wilson at 384-3794.

Project graduation

Air Show

The fourth annual Jasper Air Show is scheduled for April 5-6 at Bell Field and includes air and ground shows of vintage and experimental aircraft, radio controlled planes, sky divers, and classic cars. Call Debbie Foster at 384- 2626.

Kentucky Derby

The Woman's Civic Club of Jasper will hold their Kentucky Derby luncheon, a fund-raiser open to all, at Glorianna Farms Thursday, April 10, from 11:30 to 1:00. Call Darlene Nolen at 384-8759.

Bluegrass and gospel
