Jasper bounces back against H-F
BC hands Dawgs first district loss

      With only three games into district play, the Jasper Bulldogs are finding that every team is revved up to beat last year's 3A state champions. At Bridge City last Tuesday night, intensity was like a play-off game, Coach Shawn Mixon said, and the Cardinals walked away with a 4-3 win.

Boys' track squad grabs fifth place at Hemphill

      The Jasper boys' varsity track team scored 51 points to place fifth overall at the Hemphill meet Thursday, March 13. "It wasn't a good day for us," Coach Tracy Adair said. "The competition was also very good. San Augustine, Newton and Carthage have some very talented kids.

Hafford advances to state March 29 in power-lifting

      Raymond Hafford will be Jasper High School's lone contestant at the state power-lifting meet in Abilene March 29. Pineywoods Youth Soccer League spring registration ends Tuesday
      The Pineywoods Youth Soccer League will hold a 2008 Spring League this coming year. The registration fee for the spring league will be $35 with registration scheduled to end Tuesday, March 25. Player 4-17 by Aug. 1, 2008 is eligible for participation.
