Rangers track bunny trails

Easter eggs will abound in the woods this Saturday, March 22, according to Katherine Crippens, park ranger and naturalist at Martin Dies Jr. State Park. She's been faithfully tracking that bunny so she can mark the trails he uses for all the kids.

The egg hunt begins at 10 a.m. and free to park visitors. Saturday afternoon, the four rangers in the park will hold a concert that includes music from Led Zeppelin to George Jones.

The park is located 11 miles west of Jasper on U.S. Hwy. 190.

April 12 at noon the park will hold a Dutch-oven cooking demonstration that includes tasting, a popular event.

The park offers frequent nature programs, guided hikes, and miles of trails. For more information, call 384- 0144.
