Faces & Places Garbage pickup The City of Jasper will be closed March 21 for Good Friday. Garbage pickup for Friday will be Thursday, March 20 and Thursday will stay the same. 4-H fundraiser Jasper 4-H will sell barbecue lunches in front of Brookshire Brothers on U.S. Highway 96 in Jasper from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 21. JHS One Act Play Jasper High School One Act Play will perform "Mail Order Bride" March 24 at 6 p.m. in the JHS auditorium for $5 per person. Taste of Jasper The Pilot Club will hold the annual Taste of Jasper Saturday, April 5, at Wesley Center from 5 - 8 p.m. The club is requesting donations for the silent auction. Air Show The fourth annual Jasper Air Show is April 5-6 at Bell Field and includes air and ground shows of vintage and experimental aircraft, radio controlled planes, sky divers, and classic cars. Toledo Bend history The East Texas Historical Association is hosting a symposium on the building of Toledo Bend dam April 12 at Wesley Center in Jasper. Registration is $10 and includes lunch.
