Students of the Week

Vanja Stojanovic

Jasper High School

Vanja Stojanovic, senior of Jasper High School, has been selected as student of the week for the week of March 24-28.

"Vanja has worked so hard since coming to the United States to strive to learn everything we have to offer," said teacher Karen Sarver. "She is smart and uses every moment to complete assignments. She is highly motivated and sincerely wants to be the best student possible."

Stojanovic is an exchange student living with Amber and Wayne Kirkpatrick.

Jasper Junior High

Cesar Sierra, a seventh grade student of Jasper Junior High School, has been selected as student of the week for the week of March 24-28.

"Cesar is a hardworking student who has learned English very quickly," said teacher Peggy Nimmo. "He is always willing to try whatever is asked of him and willing to help."

Sierra enjoys playing soccer, watching movies, and listening to music. His favorite subject is math.

He is the son of Luis and Hortensia Barraza.

Rowe Intermediate

Alliana Posadas, fifth grade student of Rowe Intermediate, has been selected as student of the week for the week of March 24 - 28.

"Alliana Posadas - Alliana is a great student. She is always on task," said teacher Crystal Harrison. "She puts forth 100 percent of her effort on every assignment."

Her hobbies include playing tennis, the piano, and reading books. Reading is her favorite subject because she likes to read stories.

Posadas is the daughter of Gina and Allan Posadas.
