Jessie Solly

Army Sgt. Jessie Solly received the Army Commendation Medal, which is awarded to those who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism, meritorious achievement or service, and the Combat Action Badge.

Solly is a cavalry scout team leader who has served in the military for more than two years.

Solly has returned to Alaska after being deployed to Iraq. He is assigned to the 1st Squadron, 40th Cavalry Regiment of the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division at Fort Richardson, Anchorage, AK.

Solly is the son of Joe and Racheal Solly of Newton, and husband of Crystal, who is the daughter of Wayne Hannah and Gladys Hannah of Kirbyville.

He is a 2000 graduate of Kirbyville High School..

Crystal Graham

Air Force Airman 1st Class Crystal Graham has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.

She is the daughter of Randy and Ladale Graham of Woodville.

Graham is a 2004 graduate of Woodville High School.
