Students of the week
William Brooks, senior of Jasper High School, has been selected as student of the week for the week of April 7 - 11. "William has been a leader on the football field and in the classroom," said teacher Kenneth Simmons. "He has set many goals for his life and is striving to reach them. He is a role model for the underclass students to look up to." Brooks is the son of Tyler and Sherry Brooks. Jasper Nunior High School Nacambria Shaw, an eighth grade student of Jasper Junior High School, has been selected as student of the week for the week of April 7-11. "Nacambria is highly motivated to do all her work in her classes. She always puts forth tremendous effort," said teacher Linda Greenleaf. "She participates in girl's basketball and track. Shaw enjoys talking on the phone during her spare time. Her favorite subject is art. She is the daughter of Albert Shaw and Contessa Sells. Rowe intermediate
"Meharun Naqvi studiously goes about her day, not bothering anyone. She is quiet, but well versed," said teacher Christine Wheatley. Her hobbies are watching television and reading books. Her favorite subjects are math and social studies.
She is the daughter of Adeei and Saba Naqvi.
