Carter nabs first place in Silsbee
"I knew I would get first place because I work hard every day and never miss practice," Carter said. "My goal is to throw 150 feet." The girls team also advanced two jumpers. Boys coach Tracy Adair said he has five runners who qualified for the finals to be held Saturday, April 6: Darren Beavers, 100 meted a s hOctaviu m; Terrance Avant, 400 m; and Tim Cauley, 110 hurdlesRelay team competition will also be Saturday. Qualifying for the girls running finals are Jaleesa Johnson, 100 and 200 meter dash: Champale Brumley, 200m; and Breunna Hafford, 400m. The girls team head coach is Charles King. Others earning points were William Brooks, fifth place long jump; Terrance Avant, fifh place, triple jump; Kimpton Lewis, sixth in shot put; and Brandy Goff, fifth in shot put. |
