Boys coach Jason Schofield said his team finished in the middle of the pack, led by Stephen Burch with a two-day total of 198. Additional team members were Richard O'Brien, Dustin Reynolds, Todd Shipman, and Ethan Taylor. Sterling Hood and Tyler Hansen played as individuals. The girls A team, led by Nicole Hamilton, finished in fifth place. Other team members were Jessica Bowling, Morgan Marshall, Haley Dover, and Sarah Smith. The B team of Danielle Bozeman, Brianna Holcomb, Lauren Truett, and Nikki Lopez placed sixth. "Senior Nicole Hamilton led our team all year and she will be missed, " Coach Troy Carpenter said. "We will have eight returning next season, including Jessica Bowling with two years' experience. We are looking forward to the future as we will also have one sophomore and six freshman coming back. We've had good participation this season. Now we will be working hard to bring district and regional championships to Jasper." Carpenter said he also hoped to have some newcomers and anyone interested should contact him and begin practicing. |
